Founded in Morogoro in 1996 by 12 widowed women, SAWA grew from a savings and lending group into a women-led organisation supporting children, women and families.
Our Community-Driven Systems Change approach brings communities into identifying challenges, planning solutions and leading implementation. Local ownership is at the heart of our work.
