Climate Resilience and Agricultural Value Chains

At SAWA Wanawake Tanzania, we empower smallholder farmers-especially women-to adapt to climate change while improving their livelihoods through sustainable agriculture.

We promote climate-smart farming practices, strengthen agricultural value chains, and improve access to markets to increase productivity and income. Through community-based approaches, we support the formation of small farmer groups and provide access to small loans, enabling members to invest in farming and agribusiness activities.

We also engage children and young people through school-based child clubs, where they are educated on climate change, environmental conservation, and their role in protecting the environment. These clubs actively participate in tree planting initiatives, helping to restore ecosystems while nurturing a generation that is aware and responsive to climate challenges.
